Eucharistic Novena to St Joseph – March 2018

Dear Friends,

This is a special WAF England and Wales Newsletter.

A new Novena has been written to prepare for the Feast of St. Joseph on March 19th.

The Novena reflects on the roles of St. Joseph as the Patron Saint of the Universal Church and Father of the New Evangelisation into the Third Millennium.

It draws attention to the great faith and work of Cardinal Vaughan concerning St. Joseph and the fact that England is the only Nation of the British Isles which has a National Shrine to St. Joseph.

It is a powerfully composed Novena for the needs of the Church of the British Isles in our time. You will be surprised by its depth of spirituality and will learn a lot from it.
St. Joseph’s time is nigh.

In 1870, Pope Pius IX bestowed on St Joseph, the title of Patron of the Universal Church. He is a very powerful saint, second only to Our Lady, and so it very appropriate to entrust our spiritual needs to his intercession.

This Novena is a precursor to the spiritual preparation beginning on the feast day of St Joseph (19th March) for the Rosary around the Coast initiative (29th April) and for the re-dedication of England as Our Lady’s Dowry (Feast of the Annunciation in 2020).

Let us pray to St Joseph, in union with all the Saints and Martyrs of the British Isles, to help restore England, Mary’s Dowry, to the Mother of God so that all her intentions for the British Isles may come to fruition.

We are encouraging everyone to pray this Novena for the above intentions, which fit in very well with what WAF England and Wales is trying to achieve, as regards the promotion of the Rosary, and for a renewal of the principle that England is the Dowry, or special portion, of Mary.

(Today is the second day of the novena, but you can join in now)

The novena prayers are attached as a pdf – please use this and pass it on to anyone you think may be interested. And you can obviously also include your own intentions in the Novena.

Thanks and God bless
Donal
